Connect BACnet/IP Servers to Allen-Bradley PLCs
The 460ETCBC moves data between a network of up to 32 BACnet/IP server devices and 1-5 Allen-Bradley PLCs. With the 460ETCBC you are making a direct connection between BACnet/IP data and user defined Tags or Registers in the data table of your Allen-Bradley PLC. There is no polling from the PLC or Ethernet/IP scan lists to arrange. This is a direct connection between your device’s data and data table locations in your PLC. It’s the perfect tool to help integrate BACnet/IP enabled boilers, lighting and security systems to your Allen-Bradley control system.
How Does the Data Move In and Out of the PLC?
Data can be exchanged between up to 32 BACnet/IP end devices and up to five Allen-Bradley PLCs. BACnet/IP devices represent data as Analog and Binary objects while Allen-Bradley PLCs use tags or registers (legacy AB PLCs). Mapping is a simple as pairing analog or binary data point from your BACnet devices to tags or registers in your Allen-Bradley PLC.

Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
The 460ETCBC provides an option to connect server data with your Allen-Bradley PLCs without an expensive in-rack solution. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering stand alone gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA. When you call, a live person answers the phone. If you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations even if that means recommending someone else’s solution. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait. We are unashamed of the fact that we are a smaller company because that means you mean a lot more to us.

What our Customers are Saying
“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”
Eric P. / Kendall Electric
“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”
