With the 460MMPBS, you establish a direct connection between Modbus RTU Slave data and user-defined slots in your Profibus DP PLC. How Do You Map the Data?
You will map Modbus RTU Slave register and coil data into 10 Profibus decentralized periphery (DP) slots. These slots will be assigned types such as Int8, Int16, Int32, Int64, UInt8, UInt16, UInt32, UInt64, Float, Double, Binary8, Binary16, or Binary32. When your Profibus DP Master writes to Modbus RTU devices, the data in these slots can be mapped to registers and coils in any Modbus RTU Slave. It’s straightforward. If you need to adjust your data between protocols, each data mapping can include up to three mathematical functions. You can easily add 4 to a value, multiply by 4, or divide by 10.
